Desolation Wilderness August, 2008 A few days of high altitude/attitude camping in July to get ready for Machu Picchu Elevation - 8,600 feet

August, 2006 Me 'n my boys started at Tuolumne Meadows high above the Yosemite Valley and hiked along the river toward Hetch Hetchy, camping beside the wondrous waterfalls each night.
